The
YCA
Experience
Outdoor Learning
Our gardening program focuses on the connection between the earth, society, the food that sustains us and how God provides for us. From Preschool through High School, students have an opportunity to grow and nurture their own plots. When students learn how our food is produced and participate in the process of growing it, they become vested in the outcome and begin to care about the nature and origin of our food sources. We all become better stewards of His Creation.
Community Interaction
At YCA we believe that community involvement is an important facet of the educational process. When students interact with community helpers at the school or volunteer outside the school they are learning to be civic-minded problem solvers.
Extracurricular Classes
Arizona history, special speakers, language classes, object lessons, music, school assemblies, puppets, art, Bible classes, etc., to name a few!
